Assembly Copilot was implemented with a two-camera setup at the workstation. This dual-camera configuration provides comprehensive visibility of the assembly process to ensure operations remain visible even when the operator’s position might block one viewing angle. The system utilizes a fixture-based process that helps to hold components in place during assembly for reliable verification. Assembly Copilot monitors the assembly sequence and integrates with measurement tools to capture torque values. These torque measurements are automatically recorded as part of the assembly record, providing verification that proper torque was applied during assembly. The system ensures all steps are completed in the correct order with the right specifications.
The implementation of Assembly Copilot enabled consistent process verification through its dual-camera setup and fixture-based system. The solution’s integration with measurement tools provided accurate torque value verification throughout the assembly process. The manufacturer is also planning to expand Assembly Copilot across other stations to ensure consistent quality control across operations.
